Meet The Team

 T. Daniel Haeussner, DMD
Dr. Haeussner has lived in north east Florida since 1975. After graduating from Bishop Kenny High School he received his undergraduate degree from his beloved University of Florida. He is very proud of his gator education and bleeds orange and blue. He then graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he obtained an excellent education and also learned to appreciate the mild Florida “winters”.
Dr. Haeussner and his wife have two beautiful children who mean the world to them. He enjoys kayaking, golf, surfing, and anything outdoors.
Dr. Haeussner is a perfectionist when it comes to dentistry, has taken countless hours of continuing education, and is committed to providing his patients with the latest techniques in dentistry. He is always looking for new ways to make the patient’s experience a better one each time they visit the office. Dr. Haeussner has been trained for full metal braces as well as invisible braces (also known as Invisalign). He loves seeing new families in the office and is passionate about making the practice grow to new levels.

Christina Banfield, CDA
Chris has been a dental assistant in St. Augustine for the past 27 years. She’s a “people-person” and enjoys getting to know a little something about each of her patients. Originally from Indiana, Chris comes from a large family of twelve brothers and sisters. She and her husband, Dave, have one son. Chris loves spending time with her family, gardening, and has a real talent and passion for quilting. She always, however, looks forward to warm, sunny afternoons for riding with her husband on their Harley.
Heather Davenport, RDH
Heather has been a dental hygienist for over 12 years now, but discovered her love for dental hygiene as a veterinary technician in 1991. She prefers humans as they are better conversationalists (and they don’t bite as hard)! The mother of an 8-year old daughter, Heather spends her spare time riding, training and showing horses. Heather holds degrees in elementary education, journalism and sociology….and dental hygiene, of course!
Cheryl Masters, RDH
Cheryl has over 20 years experience as a hygienist. In addition to working in private practice, she has worked as a Quality Assurance and Provider Relations Representative for dental benefit companies, giving her valuable insight to the dental industry. Cheryl holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Harold, and their extended family. Her passion is gardening, including plant propagation.
Teresa Sovine, Front Office Coordinator
Teresa has been working in the dental industry for the last five years, but has always been involved in business administration. Her goal is to provide our patients with excellent service both over the phone and in person. She and her husband, Bret, have two teenagers and remain very active in all of their extracurricular activities. Originally from Montana, she enjoys the outdoors and looks forward to spending any free time soaking up the sun at the beach.
Kara Haeussner, Office Manager
Kara’s background is in Banking and Consumer Real Estate. She enjoys working with people and getting to know each patient on a personal basis. Kara is committed to making the office a great place to visit for the patients. She’s a University of Florida alumnus and an avid Gator fan. She and Dr Haeussner have two small children and have grown up in the North Florida area. In her spare time, she enjoys chasing the kids around at the beach.
